How to Use AutoSum in Excel
Step 1: Select the cell where you want the total
Click the empty cell where you want your sum to appear.
Example:
If your numbers are in B2:B10, click B11.
Step 2: Click AutoSum (Σ)
Go to:
Home → Editing → AutoSum (Σ)
Step 3: Excel automatically selects the numbers
A dotted moving box will appear around the range Excel thinks you want to add
