Types of decisions in hypothesis testing

There are only two types decisions in hypothesis testing

1) Reject the null hypothesis

The null hypothesis is rejected when the test statistic is in the rejection region or the p-value is less than or equal the level of significance.

2) Fail to reject the null hypothesis

The null hypothesis is not rejected when the test statistic is not in the rejection region or the p-value is greater than the level of significance.
